    Watering rule

    Full soak → drain fully → wait.

    Do not top up the reservoir constantly. In the first 2 weeks, keep the wick reservoir empty or only barely filled unless the compost is drying too fast.

    Recovery plan

    1. Days 1–3: bright indirect light only. No outside sun. Let it settle after potting.
    2. Days 4–14: check soil every 2 days. Water only if top 2–3cm is dry.
    3. Weeks 3–4: if new growth appears, give gentle morning/evening sun for 20–30 mins.
    4. After recovery: consider pinching the top if it is healthy and you want branching.

    Bug watch

    • Remove dead leaves from the soil surface.
    • Keep the top layer slightly dry between watering.
    • Use yellow sticky traps if you see tiny flies.
    • If gnats appear, use BTI / mosquito-bit water rather than random sprays.
